Turning inherent beauty into photographic art…

Mounting Options

Following are all the mounting options available for my photography. Please note that not all options are available for all images as the image itself will often dictate the optimal ways to present it. Each image’s individual product page will indicate its available mounting options. Please know that you are always welcome to contact me to inquire as to custom sizing and mounting options to better meet your or your designer’s specific wishes.

Fuji Archive Prints

These are the highest quality professional prints available. For each photograph, I select either Fuji Crystal or Fuji Pearl Archive paper to best match the color and tonal characteristics of the image. Both materials provide excellent color reproduction, stability and consistency.

Framed and Matted Fuji Archive Prints

A framed print provides the convenience of a ready-to-hang museum-quality art piece. Fuji Archive Prints are the highest quality professional prints available. For each photograph, I select either Fuji Crystal or Fuji Pearl to best match the color and tonal characteristics of the image. Both materials provide excellent color reproduction, stability and consistency. The print in then matted in acid-free museum quality 8-ply matting for a luxurious look. Images up to approximately 40×30 are protected behind UV glass, while larger images receive UV acrylic. Prices quoted are for contemporary 2” black framing, but many other framing options are available. Please call or email for details.

Wrapped Giclee Canvas

A canvas print is an elegant option with an old world textured quality. Modern inks provide excellent light-fastness and UV resistance and are applied to high quality acid-free canvas. The printed canvas is stretched and wrapped on a strong wooden frame that comes ready to hang. The result is an interesting alternative to smooth photographic paper with a more painterly feel.

Printed Aluminum Plate

Printing on aluminum creates a very contemporary and distinctive look. High quality inks are applied to a brushed aluminum plate that remains visible in the lighter areas of the image. The plate has a frame backing and when hung “floats” in front of the wall. This medium is not appropriate for all images, and I have offered it as an option for images that I believe will benefit from it. For the suggested images it will be a stunning conversation piece.

Face Mounted Acrylic

This is one of the most spectacular and contemporary ways to display photographic art. The image is printed on Fuji Flex Archival material, the smoothest and most reflective photographic material available. The front of the print is then mounted to a sheet of clear acrylic using transparent adhesive and backed with another sheet of black acrylic to create a protective sandwich. The resulting image has an intensely vibrant wet look that is unique to this process. A backing frame is mounted behind the image to provide additional strength and to cause it to “float” away from the mounting surface.

A Week in Baku

I'm really excited to have a solo photo exhibition of images I shot on a recent trip to Baku.
I was commissioned by the Azerbaijan Consulate to visit Baku and take photos from the perspective of a San Diegan.
The show is at the Meyer Gallery in Little Italy in San Diego and runs for three weeks starting May 8th. Please come and take a look.
